The Regulatory Authority of Bermuda (the “RA”) hereby issues its Final Report and Final Decisions and Orders (“Final Report”) on Applications for Integrated Communications Operating Licenses (“ICOLs”) and Application for another Communication Operating Licence (“COL”).

Section 35(1) of the Electricity Act 2016 (the “EA”) requires the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda (the “RA”) to determine the Retail Tariff in accordance with the methodology which was set by the RA in the Regulatory Authority (Retail Tariff Methodology) General Determination dated 19th October 2018 (the “Methodology GD”) and the principles set out in part 6 of the EA.

The purpose of this report (the “FIT Report”) is for the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda (“RA”) to set the rate that Bermuda Electric Light Company Ltd. (“BELCO”) as the Transmission, Distribution & Retail (“TD&R”) Licensee must pay to distributed generators (“DGs”) for the energy that is exported to the TD&R network.

This Decision & Order sets the Feed-in Tariff at $0.2265 per kWh, effective 7 October 2019.

The purpose of this Final Report, Final Decision and Order (the “Final Report”) is for the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda (the “Authority”) to: (i) present the Authority’s assessment of the responses to the Service Standards for Generation and Transmission, Distribution & Retail Licensees Consultation Document (the “Consultation Document”) and Preliminary Report, Preliminary Decision and Order for the Indicators for Generation and Transmission, Distribution & Retail Licensee Service Standards (the “Preliminary Report”); and (ii) issue the General Determination (“GD”) to present the service standards (the “Standards”) which measure the performance of electricity sector licensees.
