As per the Electricity Act section 40, “every five years or less, as determined by the Authority, or as directed by the Minister, the Authority shall issue a notice requesting an Integrated Resource Plan proposal from the TD&R Licensee”1. To fulfil the mandate, the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda issued the Guidance and requested an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) proposal from BELCO in November 2022. BELCO then submitted its first proposal to the RA in November 2023, which was later published on the RA’s website for public comment and feedback.
