Public Consultations

The Regulatory Authority of Bermuda has launched a comprehensive review of Bermuda's Electronic Communications Sector, covering the policies, legislation, regulations, and administrative determinations that govern it. The review is a statutory requirement under section 17 of the Regulatory Authority Act 2011, and follows the RA's previous Sectoral Review, which concluded in June 2023. The RA is inviting written comments from members of the public, electronic communications sector participants, and other interested parties, with submissions due by 11:59 PM (Bermuda time) on 6 July 2026.

All submissions must include the commenter's name, address, and occupation, and must be signed by the individual or an authorised representative. Submissions must also include a declaration of interest, disclosing any relevant links to licensed or government bodies, or commercial relationships with licensed operators. The RA will reject any submission where an undisclosed interest is subsequently identified. A Final Recommendation and Decision is expected following the close of the full consultation process, currently estimated for 3 March 2027.
