Information
The Regulatory Authority of Bermuda reminds all electronic communications providers, importers, and resellers that radiofrequency (RF) devices must be Type-Approved before being imported, sold, or used in Bermuda. Under Section 50 of the Electronic Communications Act 2011, devices must comply with international standards such as FCC, ISED, or ETSI standards. Applications require technical documentation, proof of compliance, and payment of fees, with approval granted only after formal review. Importing or selling non-approved equipment may result in fines, prosecution, or equipment destruction. For details and application forms, visit the RA’s Type Approvals page or contact licence@ra.bm.
